Children

Our Nursery Ministry provides loving and safe care to babies under two years old during all regularly scheduled worship services: Awana, Tuesday Morning Women's Bible Studies, Good Friday and Christmas in the Village.

Our Nursery aims to provide a safe, clean, comfortable and caring environment so that each child is happy and senses that they are loved.

We TRADE "Babies for Beepers!"

No, it's not a swap meet - it is the new beeper security system for our nursery and preschool. In an effort to increase the security of our youngest children and provide better service to our parents, we have implemented a new beeper system and security process in our nursery and preschool.

NEW PROCEEDURE
Parents of ALL CHILDREN in nursery through the four year olds class now receive a beeper/pager for their child. This obviously enables us to contact the parent if they are needed, and with our new system, we can even customize the message so we can give more detail as to the need or question we may have. Parents may not need to come if we simply need to communicate some information, like a message that their baby has stopped crying for example.

NOTICE: We will now only release a child to a person who has the beeper/pager that was issued when the child was dropped off. Without the beeper/pager, the child will not be released. While this will help us not lose pagers, the primary motive is the security of the child.

WHERE IS THE SECURITY? WHY? Unfortunately, a growing trend in our country is that churches are becoming a common place for children to be taken by a parent or relative who is not authorized to do so. Since a young child will recognize and greet a person picking them up, volunteers who were not present when the child was dropped off, doesn't know the family, or is unaware of any issues with custody or guardianship, may release a child to an unauthorized person. Fortunately, we have not had such an incident yet, but we want to be proactive in assuring those who leave their children in our care can trust that they alone can pick the child up.

We hope that our parents will enjoy the peace of mind that comes with both an increase in the ease of communication with our child care providers as well as the peace of mind that only they can pick up their child.
