Our Adult Ministries include a variety of opportunities for men and women to grow in their faith.

  • The Lifelong Learning and Equipping Center (LLEC) provides opportunities for exploring, grounding, growing and skills training to equip Christians to carry out thier individual ministries and make an impact on their world for Christ. Classes are scheduled for Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Click here to see the current class list.
  • Home Small Groups—Sustained life-change takes place best in the context of supportive relationships. And a small group is the best place to develop the significant Christ-centered relationships that we need in order to live meaningfully and love well. Our groups meet twice monthly on Sunday or weekday evenings in homes throughout the Barrington area to study the Bible using a sermon-based curriculum. Click here for more information.
  • The mission of the Spiritual Gifts Ministry is to help the individual members of the body to identify their unique Spiritual Gifts and to apply those gifts in such a way that they glorify God as they serve the local body. Click here for more information.
  • Both the Men’s Ministry and Women in Ministry groups provide times for prayer, Bible study, recreation, annual retreats, and evangelistic outreach, which encourage men and women to grow spiritually. Click the links for more information on each group.
  • Jesus told us to make disciples - introducing others to Christ and helping them grow to full spiritual maturity. Adult Ministries has put in place a process for both men and women to be involved in making disciples, both being a disciple under the leadership of someone else and also discipling and mentoring others.
  • Prayer Ministry—A praying church creates a spiritual atmosphere most favorable to preaching and making the conditions favorable for hearing the Gospel. The Pastors’ Prayer Team’s mission is to provide an opportunity for Village Church attendees to participate in intercessory prayer on a regular basis, while its vision is that this church would be known as “A House of Prayer.” The power of the church today is still in prayer.
