Jennifer Burns
Spouse: David Kids: Ryan and Bradley
Jennifer grew up in a Jewish household. She was unsettled about her faith at a very young age. She boldly refused to go through with her Bat Mitzvah because she was unsure of what she believed. While at college, she attended church regularly. While in graduate school at Northwestern University she met and fell in love with her husband, the son of a Lutheran Minister. After their first son was born, Jennifer felt that it was important to get baptized for their son. Thankfully her pastor helped her understand that Ryan was a good reason to begin her journey, but not the reason to get baptized. After the second day of taking an Alpha class, Jennifer understood clearly the truth of Jesus and what He has done for us all. She was baptized the Saturday before Easter in 2001. Now, she feels very settled about her faith and enjoys learning about God and His word. She homeschools her boys. She feels blessed to be able to serve Christian homeschoolers by using her gifts to lead two ministries that support homeschoolers - H.E.A.R.T. and the Classical Consortium.
