Gordy has been serving at the Village Church of Barrington as the Director of Youth Ministries since July 2008.  His passion is teaching the Scriptures, and he desires to instill a love of the Word in the teens that he ministers to.  In addition, Gordy aims to help students make sense of the culture around them and respond in ways consistent with their faith.

During the week you can find Gordy drinking coffee in his office, or else trying to take someone out to lunch.  His office is always open (which has occasioned several pranks from the high schoolers), and students often bounce thoughts off of him there.  Three nights a week he is at church teaching and hanging out with students.  On the weekends Gordy likes to date his wife, read, watch movies and fish.
