Josh Caterer

Stef and I got married in 1995. At that time, neither of us knew the Lord, and the first few years of our marriage were rough. In fact, we almost split up. But God, in His mercy, saved me in 1998, and within a year Stef had also become a follower of Christ. As a result, our lives were changed and our marriage was transformed by God's amazing love! Eventually, we were blessed with two beautiful children, Elliot (10) and Phoebe (6). We consider our family a miraculous gift from the Lord!

I started playing guitar and writing songs when I was 12. In my 20's I became a full-time touring musician with my band, the Smoking Popes. After the Lord saved me, I wanted to use music to glorify Him, so I became a worship leader, and eventually became an Associate Pastor of Worship at Harvest Bible Chapel in Elgin, IL. What a joy it is to lead people in expressing worship and adoration to our awesome Savior! Stef has also served at Harvest in Children's Ministry and was very active in Women's Ministry there.

We had the privilege of serving at Harvest for almost 10 years, but recently we sensed the Lord calling us to join the VCB family and help launch the upcoming Saturday Night Service. We are looking forward to the great things that God will do in that service. We're excited to be a part of this wonderful body of believers!
