Umbrella Principle: Jesus is the active King. We have plans, goals and expectations. Jesus shapes and sometimes overrules our plans in order to deliver his plans . . . even to reveal our true spiritual condition.
Point 1 — Jesus calls his disciples back to where they started . . . on their own and in total failure. John 21:1-5
Point 2 — Jesus turns total failure into massive success . . . and Peter goes overboard. John 21:6-8
Point 3 — Jesus joins His disciples in the extraordinary and in the ordinary. John 21:9-14
