Timothy's Ministry
Since 2004, Timothy's Ministry has reached out to people struggling with homelessness in Chicago and the suburbs through bi-weekly Sunday potluck luncheons at New Hope Community Church,1023 E. Palatine Road, Palatine, IL 60074. There is also a weekly gathering every Thursday and Friday in Chicago at a place called Tim's House. This is held at Mt Olive Evangelical Free Church near Irving Pk. and the expressway in Chicago.
Through the love and compassion of Christ, we have been brought together as a family for our Sunday luncheons. We begin with a Worship Service followed by lunch, a clothing room, and a Bible Study. We build relationships with one another and God continues to change each of us through this Ministry as the ground is level. Our relationships are two-way interactions; there are ministry opportunities to serve both our homeless friends and some non-believing volunteers too.
We also offer financial assistance to help people with housing, medical, and transportation needs. We thank God for all that He has done including breaking down walls and bringing people together in His love through Jesus. We are indeed a family!
