Women's Bible Study

And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you,
but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve
the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,
and to keep the commandments and statutes of the Lord,
which I am commanding you today for your good?
Behold, to the Lord your God belong heaven
and the heaven of heavens, the earth with all that is in it.
Deuteronomy 10:12 – 14

Would you like to learn how to dig into God’s word in a meaningful way? Beginning January 14th, our Precept study will delve into the book of Hebrews. We look forward to growing in our faith as we study what God has said about Jesus, angels and our great salvation. Come and learn about Jesus’ superiority to all in this exciting study that enlightens and enlivens the Old Testament and prophecy. We are again offering two workbook options. The Precept Upon Precept format provides five daily lessons for each week, each lesson taking about an hour. A second option, the In and Out format, is a streamlined approach to the same material, requiring fewer hours of weekly study. If you are new to Precepts, a mentor can be provided to walk you through the first few lessons. Whichever format you choose, you will experience ah-ha moments as you discover truth, be encouraged as you share the relevance of your discoveries and be challenged by teaching that goes deep in application to today’s culture. For more info and to order a workbook, contact Marilynn Helms at mrhelms@msn.com .

(Tuesday 9:30 – 11:30 AM)
This semester Solid Ground will be studying Colossians. As we work through the letter To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are at Colossae, we will learn what Paul meant when he said: He (Jesus) is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. Our class format is soft lecture with questions, opinions, and discussion welcomed! No homework is required but reading suggestions will be shared. Come join a friendly, caring group of women who love the Scripture. Teachers are Libby Buchanan and Tina Caswell.

(Monday night, 7 – 8:45 PM, Tuesday morning, 9:30 – 11:30 and Tuesday night, 6:30 – 8:15)
In January, we will continue the powerful adventure of a verse by verse study through the Gospel of John! As we focus on Jesus as Savior, Creator and our living example, we will dive into what it means to abide in Jesus’ love as He abides in the Father’s love (John 15:9 – 10). Join us as we learn what it means that true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth (John 4:23b-24). In our discipleship Bible studies, the teaching time is followed by discussion and prayer in a smaller discipleship group so that we may flesh out the application and walk through accountability. Teachers are Carol Jenkins (Monday night), Amy Loesch and Sue Schnell (Tuesday morning) and Val Stutz (Tuesday night).
